Our game allows you, an artist, to play music in a theremin-like musical instrument tuned to the pictures taken by the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). “Astronotes”, our game, calculates a musical note for every point you click in the JWST images, turning the RGB values into its Dominant Wavelength, then adjusts this value to a frequency we can hear and also enjoy (from 27 Hz to 4186 Hz, the frequency range of a standard piano). When the user clicks a pixel of the image the game generates a musical note based on the colors of the picture.
